Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max: A19 Pro, Vapor-Chamber Cooling, and 5,000 mAh Battery

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup at its “Awe-Dropping” event on September 9, 2025. Pre-orders will likely open on September 12, with availability starting September 19.

Design & Display

The Pro models may feature a new horizontal camera module with possible two-tone finishes. A 6.9-inch ProMotion OLED 120Hz display brings sharper visuals and smoother performance. All models are rumored to include a 24 MP front camera.

Cameras

A 48 MP telephoto with up to 8× optical zoom is expected, powered by the A19 Pro. A mechanical aperture may improve depth-of-field control.

Performance & Cooling

Built on a 3-nm process, the A19 Pro targets higher performance and efficiency. Vapor-chamber cooling could help sustain performance during heavy loads.

Battery & Connectivity

The 5,000 mAh battery is the largest yet in an iPhone. Connectivity upgrades: Wi-Fi 7, Qualcomm 5G modem, and potential reverse wireless charging (Qi 2.2).

Memory & Price

Pro models may feature 12 GB RAM and storage from 256 GB up to 1 TB. Pricing could start around $1,299 for the Pro Max.
